PTU USA Cowgirl

This tutorial was written by me on July 2, 2013.
It was made out of my own creation and any similarity is purely coincidental.
I used PSPx2 but any version would work.

Artist: The Hunter
This tube is sold at Scraps and the City  HERE
Do not use this tube unless you have a license.
Scrap Kit:  USA Cowgirl by Bibi Van G
This kit can be bought at Scraps and the City  HERE
Mask: Masks by Lise 7 HERE
Font: Gypsy Switch JF  HERE

Here goes:

Lets start with the mask layer:
Open Paper 2.  Re-size to 800 X 800.  Open mask and minimize.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINACE CHECKED – from drop down menu, find MASKS BY LISE 7 – OK.
Duplicate mask.  Merge down.  Resize 105%.

Now for some elements:
Frame (Element 44) – C/P and leave in middle of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Paper (2) – C/P - Grab your magic wand.  Click inside frame.  SELECTIONS – MODIFY – EXPAND 16 PIXELS – Move paper layer under frame.
SELECTIONS – INVERT – DELETE – SELECTIONS – SELECTION NONE.
(see tag for placement)
Heart (Element 50) – C/P and move to upper middle of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Fireworks (Element 68) – C/P and flip.  Move to top middle of tag over heart
(see tag for placement)
Fence (Element 51) – C/P and re-size 85%.  Move to bottom middle of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Sparkles (Element 67) – C/P and leave where it is in the middle of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Blue Fern (Element 54) – C/P and move to right side of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Leaf Branches (Element 63) – C/P and move to bottom middle of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Bull Skull (Element 11) – C/P and move to bottom middle of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Flag Banner (Element 61) – C/P and move to upper middle of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Kerchief (Element 28) – C/P and move to bottom right side of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Peace Sign (Element 72) – C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to bottom left side of tag.
(see tag for placement)

Now the tube layer:
If you are using the same tube as me, choose the layers CU layer.
C/P and place over.  Grab your magic wand.  Highlight frame layer.  Use your magic wand and click in the middle of frame to select.
SELECTIONS – MODIFY – EXPAND 8 PIXELS – SELECTIONS – INVERT
Go to tube layer and tap your delete button.  SELECTIONS – INVERT.  Duplicate tube layer.  Go to ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25.
Change BLEND MODE of tube copy to HARD LIGHT and change the BLEND MODE of original tube layer to DODGE.
Go back to your tube.  Grab full tube with layers of your choice.  C/P and move into place.  I have it as very top layer.  I then duplicated that tube layer.  I moved the copy of tube under frame layer.
I then went back to SELECTIONS – INVERT – DELETE.  Went BACK to original tube layer.  Grabbed my eraser tool and erased the bottom part of tube.
 (see tag for placement)

Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.
I used
V & H 2
Opacity 70
Blur 7
Color Black

Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.
I re-size before I save and add name and © info.
