PTU Sweet Christmas

This tutorial was written by me on November 29, 2014.
It was made out of my own creation and any similarity is purely coincidental.
I used PSP X6 but any version would work.

Scrap Kit: Sweet Christmas Kit by Scrappin With Lil Ole Me

Mask: WSL 84  HERE

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 10.  Open mask (WSL 84) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 10 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 84 – OK.  
Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 115%.

This will be the frame layer:   
Element 79C/P and move it up just a little.   
Element 92 - C/P and re-size 95%.  Move this over element 79.
Make sure Element 92 layer is still highlightedGrab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 10 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 9.  Keep selected.
Now grab the tube you are using.  If you are using the same one as me, grab the close up now.  C/P and re-size 75%.  Move her into position. 
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - SELECT NONE.
Duplicate the tube layer.  Change blend mode on both tube layers to MULTIPLY.

Now onto some elements: 
Element 38 - C/P and move to lower left corner of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).

Element 55 - C/P and move to lower right side of tag.  Make sure this layer is also UNDER the frame layer(s).

Element 67 - C/P and re-size 80%.  Move to bottom middle of tag. 
Make sure this layer is also UNDER the frame layer(s).

Element 53 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom left side of frame.  Make sure this layer, and all other layer(s), are OVER the frame layer(s).

Element 51 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to the lower left side of frame in front but a bit to the right of element 53.
(see tag for placement)   
Element 21 - C/P and re-size 25%.  Move to bottom left side of frame in front of element 53.

 Element 60- C/P and re-size 25%.  Move to bottom left side of frame in front of element 51.

Element 52 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom middle of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 9 - C/P and re-size 25%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 10 - C/P and re-size 25%.  Move to bottom left side of tag but on the right side of element 9.

Element 8 - C/P and re-size 25%.  Move to bottom left side of tag but on the right side of element 10.

Element 104 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to top left corner of tag.  Duplicate twice.  Move one copy to the right corner of tag.  Move one copy to the top middle of tag.

I placed the tube layer(s) here: 
If you are using the same one as me, grab your chosen version now.  C/P and re-size 80%.  Move to bottom right corner of tag.

Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.
I've used
V & H 2
Opacity 70
Blur 7
Color Black

 Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.
I re-size before I add name and © info and then save.

Here goes:

Let’s start with the mask layer:
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 6.  Open mask (WSL 84) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 6 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 84 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 115%.

Now for the frame:
Frame 3 - C/P and move a bit down, but keep in the middle of tag.  Make sure your frame layer is still highlighted.  Grab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 8 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 4.  Keep selected.
If you are using the same tube as me, grab it now.  C/P over frame and then move her into position.  Duplicate and move the copy under frame but over paper layer.  SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT - SELECTIONS - SELECT NONE.
Grab your magic wand tool and click in the middle of frame.   
SELECTIONS - INVERT, grab the eraser tool now.  Erase the parts of the original tube you don't want.  SELECTIONS - SELECT NONE.(see tag for placement)

Lets do some elements now:
Element 46 - C/P and move to upper left side of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer and original tube layer.  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 15 - C/P and move to bottom left side of frame.  Make sure this layer is also UNDER the frame layer and original tube layer.  Duplicate and mirror. 
(see tag for placement)
Element 41 - C/P and move to top left corner of tag.  Make sure this and all other layer(s) are OVER the frame layer but under original tube layer.  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 1 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom left side of frame.  Make sure this is also under original tube layer.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 23 - C/P and move to bottom right side of tag over original tube layer.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 43 - C/P and move to bottom middle of frame over element 23 and copy of element 23 layers.

Element 22 - C/P and re-size 25%.  Move to bottom middle of frame.  Duplicate and move to right side of original and over element 43.
(see tag for placement)
Element 21 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to bottom right corner of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)

Element 26 -  C/P and re-size 35%.  Move to top right side just over frame.  Duplicate and mirror.

Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.

Opacity 70
Blur 7
Color Black

 Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.

I re-size before I save and add name and © info.

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 6.  Open mask (WSL 84) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 6 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 84 – OK.  
Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 115%.

This will be the frame layer:   
Element 17C/P and move it up just a little.  Make sure Element 17 layer is still highlightedGrab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 10 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 4.  Keep selected.
Now grab the tube you are using.  If you are using the same one as me, grab it now.  C/P and move her into position.
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.
Duplicate the tube layer.
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and leave the original tube layer on OVERLAY.

Now onto some elements: 
Element 13 - C/P and move to upper left corner.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror.  Move copy down just a bit.

Element 11 - C/P and move to bottom left side.  Make sure this layer, and all other layer(s), are OVER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and flip then move a bit to the upper right corner.

Element 7 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to top middle of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 10 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to upper middle of frame over element 7.
(see tag for placement)
Element 1 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom right side of frame.
(see tag for placement)   
Element 2 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom left side of frame.
(see tag for placement)
 Element 5- C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 3 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to bottom right corner of tag.
(see tag for placement)

I placed the tube layer(s) here:
Before I placed the tube, I re-sized the whole tag from 800 X 800 to 600 X 600.  Then snagged the tube.  C/P and mirror, then move her into place.

Wordart - C/P and move to bottom middle of tag over tube.

Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.
I've used
V & H 2
Opacity 70
Blur 7
Color Black

 Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 4.  Open mask (WSL 84) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 4 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 84 – OK.  
Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 115%.

Frame 2C/P and re-size 75%.  Move it up near the top and just a little to the left.  Make sure Frame 2 layer is still highlightedGrab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 8 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 1.  Keep selected.
Now grab the tube you are using.  If you are using the same one as me, grab the Close Up now.  C/P and move her into position.
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.
Duplicate the tube layer.
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and leave the original tube layer on LUMINANCE (L).

Now onto some elements: 
Element 16 - C/P and leave it where it lands.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).

Element 101 - C/P and move to top right corner of tag.  Make sure this layer is also UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 67 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag.  Make sure this layer, and all other layer(s), are OVER the frame layer(s).

Element 55 - C/P and re-size 55%.  Move to lower right side of frame.

Element 38 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom middle of frame and tag.
 (see tag for placement)   
Element 97 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to bottom middle of tag in front of element 38.
(see tag for placement)
 Element 11- C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to bottom left side of tag in front of element 67.
(see tag for placement)
Element 103 - C/P and re-size 35%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag in front of element 11

Element 5 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move t bottom middle of tag in front of element 97.

Element 121 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to top right corner of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.  Move just a bit up in the left corner of tag.

Let’s start with the mask layer:
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 2.  Open mask (WSL 84) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 2 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 84 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 115%.

Now for the frame:
Frame 1 - C/P and move a bit down, but keep in the middle of tag.  Make sure your frame layer is still highlighted.  Grab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 8 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 5.  Keep selected.
If you are using the same tube as me, grab it now.  C/P over frame and then move her into position.  Duplicate and move the copy under frame but over paper layer.  SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT - SELECTIONS - SELECT NONE.
Duplicate the tube layer.
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and leave the original tube layer on NORMAL. Grab your magic wand tool and click in the middle of frame as well as other inner parts of frame.  Grab the eraser tool now.  Erase the parts of the original tube you don't want.  SELECTIONS - SELECT NONE.

Lets do some elements now:
Element 2 - C/P and move to upper left side of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer and original tube layer.  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 12 - C/P and move to bottom left side of frame.  Make sure this and all other layer(s) are OVER the frame layer.  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 17 - C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to bottom left side of tag over element 12.

Element 11 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to bottom right side of tag over copy of element 12.

Element 20 - C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to bottom middle of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 22 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom left side of tag in front of element 17.

Element 1 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom middle of frame over element 20.

Word Art - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to lower middle of frame over all other layers.

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 7.  SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 6 into selection.
Go to EFFECTS - AAA FRAMES and use the following settings.
Open Paper 8.  Open a New Raster Layer.  Keep mask (WSL 84) open and minimized.  Go to SELECTIONS - SELECT ALL - Copy and paste Paper 8 into selection.  Go to LAYERS - NEW MASK LAYER - FROM IMAGE - SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED fro menu, find WSL 84 - OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 115%.

This will be the frame layer:   
Element 47C/P and move it just a little to the left.  Make sure Element 47 layer is highlightedGrab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of all empty areas in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 8 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 3.  Keep selected.
Now grab the tube you are using.  If you are using the same one as me, grab the Close Up now.  C/P and move her into position.
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.
Duplicate the tube layer.
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and leave the original tube layer on MULTIPLY.

Element 52- C/P and move to far left side of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 118 - C/P and re-size 55%.  Move to right side of frame.

 Element 110- C/P and re-size 53%.  Move to bottom of frame.  Duplicate and move copy to top of frame.  Grab eraser tool and erase the parts that look like they would go around the frame.

Element 2 - C/P and re-size 25%. Move to top right corner of frame over element 118 and element 110.

Element 33 - C/P and re-size 55%.  Move to bottom middle of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 43 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom right corner of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 115 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom right on tag, but left side of element 43.

Element 41 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom right side of tag and to the right side of element 43.
