PTU Breathing Romance

PTU Breathing Romance

This tutorial was written by me on April 7, 2015.
It was made out of my own creation and any similarity is purely coincidental.
I used PSP X6 but any version would work.

Scrap Kit: Spring Garden by Rieneke Designs

Mask: WSL 3  HERE

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 2.  Open mask (WSL 3) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 2 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 3 – OK.  
Duplicate and merge down.

This will be the frame layer:   
Element 15 – C/P and leave it where it lands.  Make sure element 15 layer is still highlighted.  Grab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 14.  
If you are using the same tube as me, grab it now.
C/P and re-size 50%.  Mirror then move her into the far left corner of the frame.
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.
Duplicate the tube layer.
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and leave the original tube layer on SOFT LIGHT

Now onto some elements: 
Element 58 - C/P and move up just a little bit on tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).

Element 77 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to lower left side of frame.  
Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).
(see tag for placement)
Element 76 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to lower right side of frame. 
Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).

Element 121 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom right side of frame.  Make sure this layer, and all other layer(s), are OVER the frame layer(s).

Element 89 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to bottom right side of frame over element 121.
(see tag for placement)
Element 29 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to upper left side of frame. 
(see tag for placement)
Element 39 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to upper left corner of tag.
(see tag for placement)
 
I decided to use the tube again, so this is where I did this.
Grab the same tube now.  C/P over frame and other elements, then move her to the right side of the frame.  Re-size 30%.  Duplicate and move the copy under frame but over paper layer.  SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT - SELECTIONS - SELECT NONE.
Grab your magic wand tool and click in the middle of frame.   
SELECTIONS - INVERT, grab the eraser tool now.  Erase the parts of the original tube you don't want.  SELECTIONS - SELECT NONE.
 
Element 14 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to middle left side of tag.

Element 88 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom right corner of tag over elements 76, 121 and 89.

 Element 52 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to bottom left side of frame.
(see tag for placement) 
Element 42 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom left side of tag on the right side of element 52.
(see tag for placement)
Element 8 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to bottom left side of tag to the left of element 42.
(see tag for placement)
Element 6 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom left side of tag to the right of element 8.
(see tag for placement)
Element 99 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to bottom right side of element 42.
(see tag for placement)
Element 112 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 80 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom left side of tag over element 112.  Duplicate and move copy over to right side of tag over element 88.

Element 2 - C/P and re-size 25%.  Move to bottom middle of tag.
(see tag for placement)
 
Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.
I've used
V & H 2
Opacity 70
Blur 7
Color Black

 Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.
I re-size before I add name and © info and then save.

PTU Cupid Girl

This tutorial was written by me on March 18, 2015.
It was made out of my own creation and any similarity is purely coincidental.
I used PSP X6 but any version would work.

Mask: WSL 3  HERE

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 1.  Open mask (WSL 3) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 3 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 3 – OK.  
Duplicate and merge down.

This will be the frame layer:   
Element 122 – C/P and leave it where it lands.
Element 108 - C/P and re-size 80%.  Move over top of element 122.  
Make sure element 122 layer is again highlighted.  Grab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 2.  SELECTION - SELECT NONE.  Now grab the tube you are using.  If you are using the same one as me, grab it now.  C/P and re-size her 40%.  Move her into position.  SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.
Duplicate the tube layer. ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and leave the original tube layer on MULTIPLY.

Now onto some elements: 
Element 129 - C/P and move to bottom left corner of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 43 - C/P and move to upper right corner of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 91 - C/P and re-size 80%.  Move to upper right side of frame.  Make sure this layer, and all other layer(s), are OVER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror and flip.

Element 20 - C/P and re-size 80%.  Move to upper left side of frame.
(see tag for placement) 
Element 13 - C/P and re-size 80%.  Move to lower right side of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 118- C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to upper middle of frame over element 20.
(see tag for placement)
 Element 68 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to middle right side of frame.
(see tag for placement) 
Element 61 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to bottom of frame and a little bit to the right.
(see tag for placement)
Element 2 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom right side of frame and to the right of element 61.
(see tag for placement)
Element 57 - C/P and re-size 25%.  Move to bottom middle of tag in front of element 61.
(see tag for placement)
Element 54 - C/P and re-size 25%.  Move to upper right side of frame over element 68.  Duplicate and mirror and move down just a little bit.

I placed the tube layer(s) here: 
If your gonna use the same tube as I did, C/P your choice of the full version of the tube now.  Re-size 30% and mirror then move her to the bottom left side of tag over all elements.

Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.

V & H 2
Opacity 70
Blur 7
Color Black

 Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.
I re-size before I add name and © info and then save.

PTU Love Song

Scrap Kit: Dude I Love You by Rieneke Design

Mask: WSL 3 & 84  HERE

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 3.  Open mask (WSL 3) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 3 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 3 – OK.  
Duplicate and merge down.
New Raster Layer.  Open Paper 7.  Open mask (WSL 84) and minimize.  SELECTIONS - SELECT ALL - Copy and paste Paper 7 into selection.  Go to LAYERS - NEW MASK LAYER - FROM IMAGE - SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED from drop down menu, find WSL 84. - OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 115%.

This will be the frame layer:   
Element 46 – C/P and leave it where it is.  Make sure element 46 layer is still highlighted.  Grab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 10 pixels.  NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 5.  Keep selected.
Now grab the tube you are using.  If you are using the same one as me, grab it now.  C/P and re-size it 40%.  Move it into position.
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.
Duplicate the tube layer.
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and move under original tube layer.  Change the blend mode of the original tube layer on OVERLAY.
Element 48 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to far left side of paper layer.  Duplicate and mirror.

Now onto some elements: 
Element 71 - C/P and leave it in the middle but move it up on tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).

Element 13 - C/P and mirror then move to top left corner of tag.  Make sure this layer is also UNDER the frame layer(s).

Element 11 - C/P and move to top left corner of tag over element 13.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror then flip.

Element 40 - C/P and re-size 45%.  Move to top right corner of frame.  Make sure this layer, and all other layer(s), are OVER the frame layer(s).

Element 64 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom right corner of frame.

Element 79 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom right corner of frame over element 64.
(see tag for placement)
 Element 10 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to lower right corner of tag.
(see tag for placement) 
Element 22 - C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to upper left corner of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 23 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to upper left corner of frame over element 22.
(see tag for placement)
Element 17 - C/P and move to bottom right corner of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 3 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to bottom left corner of frame & tag.

PTU Winter Bird

Scrap Kit: You And Me by Rieneke Designs & Joy Designs
You can find this kit at Twilight Scraps  HERE
Mask: WSL 84  HERE

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 4.  Open mask (WSL 84) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 4 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 84 – OK.  
Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 115%.  I also used a drop shadow on this layer.

This will be the frame layer:   
Element 20 – C/P and move it up just a little.  Make sure element 20 layer is still highlighted.  Grab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 8 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 9.  Keep selected.
Now grab the tube you are using.  If you are using the same one as me, grab it now.  C/P and re-size 50%, then move her into position.
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.
Duplicate the tube layer.
On the original layer, go to ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and move this layer under the original tube layer.  Leave the original tube layer on NORMAL.

 Now onto some elements: 
Element 3 - C/P and re-size 70%.  Move to bottom right side of frame.  Make sure this layer, and all other layer(s), are OVER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 66 - C/P and re-size 70%.  Move to bottom middle of frame.

Element 5 - C/P and re-size 80%.  Move to bottom middle of frame over element 66.
(see tag for placement)
Element 53 - C/P and re-size 80%.  Move to top left side of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 36 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to top right corner of frame.
(see tag for placement)   
Element 43 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to right side of frame.
(see tag for placement)
 Element 50 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom left corner of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 55 - C/P and re-size 25%.  Move to bottom left corner of frame over element 50.

Element 84 - C/P and re-size 25%.  Move to bottom left corner of frame over element 50 and 55.

Element 83 - C/P and move to bottom middle of tag, but just a bit to the right on the tag.  Duplicate and move to upper middle of frame over all other layers.

PTU Traditional Christmas

PTU Traditional Christmas

This tutorial was written by me on December 5, 2014.
It was made out of my own creation and any similarity is purely coincidental.
I used PSP X6 but any version would work.

But any tube will do.  They have lots to choose from.
Do not use this tube unless you have a license.
Scrap Kit: Traditional Christmas by Rieneke Designs
You can find this kit at Twilight Scraps  HERE
Mask: WSL 84  HERE

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 15.  Open mask (WSL 84) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 15 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 84 – OK.  
Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 115%.

This will be the frame layer:   
Element 132 – C/P and move it up just a little.  Make sure element 132 layer is still highlighted.  Grab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 10 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 18.  Keep selected.
Now grab the tube you are using.  If you are using the same one as me, grab it now.  C/P and re-size 45%, then move her into position.
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.
Duplicate the tube layer.
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and leave the original tube layer on LUMINANCE (L) and reduce opacity to 50%.

 Now onto some elements: 
Element 142 - C/P and move upper left corner of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and move copy to bottom right corner of tag.

Element 135 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to bottom middle of frame.  Make sure this layer, and all other layer(s), are OVER the frame layer(s).

Element 131 - C/P and re-size 65%.  Move to bottom right corner of frame.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 24 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to top left corner of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 5 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to top left corner of frame over element 24.
(see tag for placement)   
Element 102 - C/P and re-size 65%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag.
(see tag for placement)
 Element 67- C/P and re-size 25%.  Move to bottom left side of tag in front of element 102.
(see tag for placement)
Element 43 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag in front of element 102 and 67.
(see tag for placement)
Element 47 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom left corner in front of element 102 and 67 but to the right side of element 43.

Element 55 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag in front of element 102 and 67 and to the right of element 47.

Element 44 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag in front of element 43.

Element 46 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag in front of element 55 and to the right of element 44.

Element 28 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag in front of element 47.

Element 77 -  C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to bottom right corner of tag.

Element 78 - C/P and re-size 25%.  Move to bottom right side of tag over element 77.
