PTU Candyland

PTU Candyland

This tutorial was written by me on July 27, 2013.
It was made out of my own creation and any similarity is purely coincidental.
I used PSPx2 but any version would work.

Here goes:
The Template first:
Open template in PSP.  Hold down SHIFT button and tap your “D” key.  Close the original template.  Delete the “Raster 13” layer with her CR info on it.
I don't like a white background unless I really need one, so I clear the white background by highlighting the RASTER 1 layer and go to EDIT - CLEAR.
Next I changed the canvas size to 800 X 800.  We are gonna do basically the same thing for the following layers, so in an effort to stop repeating myself, here is what you will do for each layer that we change out:

Highlight layer.  SELECTIONS - SELECT ALL - FLOAT - DE FLOAT
Open Paper - C/P - SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - SELECT NONE
Delete layer. 
So it will go something like this:
You will be changing raster layers 6, 10, 12, 7, 4, 2, 3, and 5. 
For this tag, you can go ahead and delete all shadow layers.  We will rename these paper layers to make this tutorial make sense.

Highlight 6.  Follow directions above.  Use PP 4.  Rename Paper 4.
Highlight 7.  Same as above.  Use PP 10.  Rename Paper 10

Highlight 4.  Same as above.  Use PP 6.  Rename Paper 6
Highlight 6.  Same as above.  Use PP 9.  Rename Paper 9
Highlight 6.  Same as above.  Use PP 5.   Rename Paper 5

Highlight 10.  Same as above.  Use PP 1.  Rename Paper 1 - Line.  Change BLEND MODE to SOFT LIGHT.  DO NOT DELETE RASTER 10 LAYER.
Highlight 12.  Same as above.  Use PP 1.  Rename Paper 1 - Dots
Do the same as PP 1 - Line.
Highlight 5.  Merge with Copy of layer.  Same as above.  Use PP 1.  Rename Paper 1 - Circles

For this tag, if you are using the same tube as me, use the 2nd CU. 
Highlight Paper 9 layer.  SELECTIONS - SELECT ALL - FLOAT - DE FLOAT.
C/P the CU and move it into place.  Re-size 95%.    SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - INVERT.
Duplicate tube layer.
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and go to original tube layer and change BLEND MODE to MULTIPLY.

Now for some elements:
Element 48 – C/P and re-size 60%%.  Move to top left corner of tag over Paper 4 & Paper 1- Line Layer.  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 22 – C/P and move to middle left side.  Duplicate and mirror.  Move copy up to top right side of tag.

Element 26 – C/P and mirror and move to bottom right side of tag over Paper 1 - Circle layer.

Element 63 – C/P and re-size 80%.  Move down and a bit right beside element 26.

Element 9 – C/P and move down and left.  Duplicate and mirror.  Move copy a bit lower and more over to the right.

Element 24 – C/P and move down and in the middle of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 72 – C/P and move down and to the left side of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 14 – C/P and move to left side of tag in front of element 72.
(see tag for placement)
Element 13 - C/P and move to right side of tag in front of element 63.

Element 36 – C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom left side in front of 72
(see tag for placement)
Element 28 - C/P and re-size 35%.  Move to upper right side over element 63.
(see tag for placement)
Element 83 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to bottom left side over element 36.

Element 79 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to upper left side of tag above element 72.

Now for the mask layer:
Open PP 3.
Highlight very bottom layer.  SELECTIONS - SELECT ALL
Copy and Paste PP 3 into Selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE CHECKED – CHOOSE WSL 84 from the drop down menu – OK.
 
Now the tube layer:
If you are using the same tube as me, C/P the full tube move over to left side of tag beside element 36
 (see tag for placement)

Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.
I used
V & H 2
Opacity 70
Blur 7
Color Black

 Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.
I re-size before I save and add name and © info.
