PTU Geisha

This tutorial was written by me on July 25, 2013.
It was made out of my own creation and any similarity is purely coincidental.
I used PSPx2 but any version would work.

Artist: Roman Zaric
You can find his tubes at Roman Zaric Tubes  HERE
Do not use this tube unless you have a license.
Scrap Kit: Geisha by Bookworm Dezines
You can find this kit at Roman Zaric Tubes  HERE
Mask: WSL 84  HERE
Font: Japan Font  HERE

Here goes:

Let’s start with the mask layer:
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 5.  Open mask and minimise.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 6 into selection.
 Go to LAYERS –
NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from drop down menu, find WSL 84 – OK.
Duplicate then merge mask layers then flip.

Let’s do the frame layer now:
Element 35 – C/P and re-size 50%.   Move down just a little.
Go to your SELECTION TOOL.  See below for settings and placement.
New Raster Layer.  Move under frame layer.  Open Paper 5.
Copy and paste into selection.
Open element 24.  C/P and re-size 90% and move over paper 5 layer.  Lower opacity to 30.
Now open tube.  If you are using the same one as me, mirror - C/P and move over element 24.  SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - INVERT.
Duplicate tube layer.
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and go to original tube layer and change BLEND MODE to OVERLAY.
(see tag for placements)

Now for some elements:
Element 23 – C/P and move to upper right corner of tag under frame layers but above frame layers.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 16 – C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to right corner of tag under frame layer but in front of element 23 above frame layers.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 3 – C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to left side still under frame layers but beside frame.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 2 – C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom left side of frame.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 7 – C/P and move down a little bit and make sure it is the top most layer.
(see tag for placement)
Element 27 – C/P and re-size 50%.  Mirror and move to lower right of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 17 – C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to lower right of tag in front of element 27.
(see tag for placement)
Element 6 – C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to bottom left of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 4 – C/P and re-size 70%.  Move to bottom left of tag to the right of element 6.
(see tag for placement)
Element 19 – C/P and re-size 70%.  Move to top left side of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.

(see tag for placement)

Now the tube layer:
If you are using the same tube as me,
C/P tube as top most layer.  Re-size 25%.  Move to bottom of tag and a bit to the left.
(see tag for placement)

Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.
I used
V & H 2
Opacity 70
Blur 7
Color Black

Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.
I re-size before I save and add name and © info.
