PTU Color Me Goth

This tutorial was written by me on July 31, 2014.
It was made out of my own creation and any similarity is purely coincidental.
I used PSP X2 but any version would work.

Scrap Kit:  Color Me Goth by Scrappin With Lil Ole Me

Mask: MPM Mask 73  HERE

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 16.  Open mask (MPM 73) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 16 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find MPM 73 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 110%.
 
This will be the frame layer:   
Element 90C/P and move it up on tag just a little bit.  Make sure your frame layer is still highlightedGrab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 4 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 16.  Keep selected.
Now grab the tube you are using.  If you are using the same one as me, grab it now.  I used the CU here.  Move her into position. 
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.  
Duplicate the tube layer.  
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and leave the original tube layer on OVERLAY.

Now onto some elements: 
Element 40  - C/P and re-size 80%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 69 - C/P and move to top left corner of tag.  Make sure this layer is also UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror then flip.

Element 106 - C/P and move to top right side of frame.  Make sure this and all the rest of the layers are OVER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 45 - C/P and re-size 90%.  Move to bottom middle of frame.

 Element 94 - C/P and move to bottom right on frame.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 116 - C/P and move to lower middle right on tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 28 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom middle of tag over all layers.
(see tag for placement)

I place the tube layer(s) here:
If you are using the same tube as me.  C/P and move to the bottom left side of tag in front of everything.

Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.
I used
V & H 2
Opacity 70
Blur 7
Color Black

 Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.
I re-size before I save and add name and © info.

 PTU Night Of The Darkness
 
This tutorial was written by me on July 28, 2014.

Scrap Kit: Night Of The Darkness by Graphics Of Fantasy 
This kit can be found at Graphics Of Fantasy.  HERE 
Mask: WSL 84  HERE

Here goes:

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 4.  Open mask (WSL 84) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 4 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 84 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 115%.
 
Lets do some elements now:
Element 51 - C/P and move to top middle but a bit to the right of tag.  I also decided to use the CU of the tube here.  So I went to SELECTIONS - SELECT ALL - FLOAT - DEFLOAT and then pasted the CU of tube over this element.  I then resized the CU 80%.  Moved it into place.

SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.  
Duplicate the tube layer.  
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and leave the original tube layer on MULTIPLY and reduced opacity to 40%.

Element 48  - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to top right on tag over element 51.

Element 69 - C/P and re-size 80%.  Move to right side of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 49 - C/P and move up and a bit left on tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 59 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to middle left side of tag over left side of element 49.
(see tag for placement)
Element 29 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to bottom middle of tag in front of element 49.
(see tag for placement)
Element 38 - C/P and and re-size 50%.  Move to middle left side of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 46 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to bottom left side of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 45 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom left side of tag in front of element 46.  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 61 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom left side of tag in front of element 45.
(see tag for placement)
Element 52 - C/P and re-size 20%. Move to lower right side of tag over copy of element 61.
(see tag for placement)
Element 42 - C/P and move to bottom middle of tag.
(see tag for placement) 
Element 35 - C/P and move to bottom middle of tag in front of element 42.
(see tag for placement)
Element 20 - C/P and re-size 70%.  Move to bottom middle of tag in front of element 35 so that it looks like the fire is coming out the back of the skulls.

Element 26 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to lower left side of tag over element 20.

Now for the tube(s):
If you are using the same tube as me, grab it now.  C/P and move her to the bottom of the tag in the middle of element 42.  Move this layer to just above layer 42.

Opacity 70

 Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.

Save and add name and © info.

Mask: MPM Mask 57  HERE 

Here goes:

Let’s start with the mask layer:
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 4.  Open mask (MPM 57) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 4 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find MPM 57 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 105%.

Now for the frame:
Element 27 - C/P and leave it where it lands.  Make sure your frame layer is still highlighted.  Grab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 8 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 3.  Keep selected.
If you are using the same tube as me, grab it now.  C/P over frame and then move her into position.  Duplicate and move the copy under frame.  SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT - SELECTIONS - SELECT NONE.
Grab your magic wand again.  Go to frame layer and click in the middle of frame again.  Grab the eraser tool now.  SELECTION - INVERT and go to original tube layer and then erase the bottom parts of tube you don't want.
Element 13 - C/P and move over paper layer.  Re-size 65% and move over paper layer.

Lets do some elements now:
Element 16 - C/P and move to bottom right side of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer and original tube layer.  Duplicate and mirror, then flip.

Element 33 - C/P and move to left side of tag.  Make sure this layer is OVER the frame layer(s).  Move this layer under original tube layer.  All other layers will be over the frame layer too.

Element 34 - C/P and move to bottom right side of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 11 - C/P and move to top left corner of frame.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 9 - C/P and move to middle right side of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 8 - C/P and move to bottom left side of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.  Move element 9 so it is up a bit from the copy of element 8.
(see tag for placement)

Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.
I used: 
V & H 2
Opacity 70
Blur 7
Color Black

 Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.

I re-size before I save and add name and © info.

Here goes:

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 1.  Open mask (CTM Mask 5) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 1 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find CTM Mask 5 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 110%.

This will be the frame layer:  
Element 118 – C/P and re-size 70%.  Free rotate left 15º.  Move to upper middle, and a bit left on tag.  Make sure your frame layer is still highlighted.  Grab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.
SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 4 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - Make sure this layer is under frame layer.
C/Paste into selection Paper 16.  Keep selected.
Grab element 102.  C/P over paper layer and re-size 85%.
Change BLEND MODE to SOFT LIGHT.
If you are using the same tube as me, grab it now.  I used Mermaid Girl 2.
C/P and re-size 40%.  Move into position
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.  
Duplicate the tube layer.  
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and leave the original tube layer on SOFT LIGHT.

Some elements now: 
Element 90  - C/P and re-size 85%.  Move to lower left corner of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 105 - C/P and re-size 85%.  Move to bottom left side of frame.  Make sure this layer is also UNDER the frame layer(s).

Element 92 - C/P and re-size 85%.  Move to bottom middle of frame. 
Make sure this layer and all other layer(s) are OVER the frame layer(s).
(see tag for placement)   
Element 93 - C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to bottom left side of tag over element 92.

 Element 95 - C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to bottom right side of tag over element 93 and 92.

Element 117 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to far left side of frame.  Make it look like it is hanging over frame.

Element 106 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to far right side of tag.

Element 115 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to bottom middle of frame.

Element 109 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to middle of frame and over element 115.

Element 104 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom of frame but to the left of element 115.

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 8.  Open mask (MPM Mask 31) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 8 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find MPM Mask 31 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 105%.

This will be the frame layer:  
Element 10 – C/P and move to lower middle of tag.
Make sure your frame layer is still highlighted.  Grab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.
SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 8 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - Make sure this layer is under frame layer.
C/Paste into selection Paper 1.  Keep selected.
Grab element 20.  C/P over paper layer and re-size 80%.
Change BLEND MODE to SOFT LIGHT.
If you are using the same tube as me, grab it now.
C/P and move into position
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.  
Duplicate the tube layer.  
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and leave the original tube layer on LUMINANCE (L) and reduce opacity to 70%.

Some elements now: 
Element 13  - C/P and re-size 70%.  Move to upper right corner of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).

Element 67 - C/P and re-size 80%.  Flip and move over element 13.  Make sure this layer is also UNDER the frame layer(s).

Element 61 - C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to bottom right side of frame.  Make sure this layer and all other layer(s) are OVER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 32 - C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to bottom middle of frame.

 Element 38 - C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to upper right side of tag.

Element 36 - C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to bottom middle of frame in front of element 32.

Here I did something a bit different.  I reduced the size of the tag before I pasted the full size tube.  So what you want to do is go to IMAGE - RE-SIZE - (make sure re-size all layers is checked) and reduce the PIXELS to 600 X 600.  Then if you are using the same tube as me.  C/P and mirror and move to bottom left side of tag in front of all layers.

Element 121 - C/P and move to lower right side of tag.

Element 1 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to lower left side of tag in front of element 22.

Element 37 - C/P and move to bottom right side of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 75 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to bottom middle of tag in between element 37 and copy of element 37.

Element 117 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to bottom right corner of tag.

Now for the tube(s):
If you are using the same tube as me, grab it now.  C/P and move her to the top of element 117.
