PTU Trick or Treat

This tutorial was written by me on September 16, 2013.
It was made out of my own creation and any similarity is purely coincidental.
I used PSPx2 but any version would work.

Artist: Elias Chatzoudis
You can find his tubes at Elias Art Shop  HERE
I bought this tube when he was with PTE, but you can buy it at his new store.  Look under PSP Tubes for Halloween. Do not use this tube unless you have a license.
Scrap Kit: Pumpkin by Amy Marie's Kits
You can find this exclusive kit at Amy Marie's Kits Store  HERE
Mask: WSL 84 (Wee Scott Lass)  HERE
Template: Halloween_Template_4 by Dangerously Delicious Designz HERE
Font: Floydian Font  HERE

Here goes:

The Template first:
Open template in PSP.  Hold down SHIFT button and tap your “D” key. Close the original template.  Delete the “INFO” layer with her CR info. I don't like a white background unless I really need one, so I clear the white background by highlighting the Raster 1layer and go to
EDIT - CLEAR.
Next I changed the canvas size to 800 X 800.  We are gonna do basically the same thing for the following layers, so in an effort to stop repeating myself, here is what you will do for each layer that we change out:

Highlight layer.  SELECTIONS - SELECT ALL - FLOAT - DE FLOAT
Open Paper - C/P - SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - SELECT NONE - Delete layer.

For this tag you will be changing these layers: Blue Square, Orange Square, Green Rectangle, Purple Oval, Orange Circle, Green Strip and Blue Circle.  The Stars layer can be deleted.  Leave the rest.  I would suggest linking the layers so you can move them up once you do the paper layers.  You can find that feature usually at the top right corner of your layers palette.

So it will go something like this: Highlight Blue Square.  Follow directions above.  Use PP10. Rename it PP10 Blue Square.
Highlight Orange Square.  Same as above.  Use PP15.  Rename PP 15 Orange Square.
Highlight Green Rectangle.  Same as above.  Use PP9.  Rename PP9 Green Rectangle.
Highlight Purple Oval.  Same as above.  Use PP11.  Rename PP11 Purple Oval.
Highlight Orange Circle.  Same as above.  Use PP15.  Rename PP15 Orange Circle.
Highlight Green Strip.  Same as above.  Use PP9.  Rename PP9 Green Strip.
Highlight Blue Circle.  Same as above.  Use PP10.  Rename PP10 Blue Circle.
Move all layers up and a bit right.
(see tag for placement)

Now for some elements:
Element 46 - Highlight Orange Circle - SELECTIONS- SELECT ALL - FLOAT - DE-FLOAT - NEW RASTER LAYER - Copy and Paste into selection.  Change BLEND MODE to LUMINANCE (L).  Keep Selected.  Grab CU of tube.  Make sure she is mirrored.  C/P and move into position.
Go to SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.  Duplicate the tube layer.  ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK

Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and go to original tube layer and change BLEND MODE to LUMINANCE (L).  Reduce OPACITY to 90%.
(see tag for placement)
Element 54 – C/P and re-size 40%.  Move into middle of Blue Circle.  Change OPACITY to 61%.
(see tag for placement)
Element 84 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom, almost middle of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 87 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom middle of tag in front of element 84.
(see tag for placement)
Element 6 - C/P and re-size 70%.  Move to top left corner of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 48 - C/P and re-size 80%.  Move to bottom right side of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 3 - C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to bottom right side of tag in front of element 48.
(see tag for placement)
Element 47 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to upper left side of tag under element 6.  Duplicate and mirror, move up to top right corner of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 1 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom left side of tag beside element 87.
(see tag for placement)
Element 4 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to bottom middle of tag in front of element 87.
(see tag for placement)
OK.. I played with this layer just a little... LOL.  You will need to grab these next three elements and do the following:
 Element(s) 22, 12, 14 - C/P and re-size 22 by 35%, 12 by 20% and 14 by 15%.  Free rotate 12 and 14, 90º right.  Duplicate those two elements and move them as you like.  Merge all layers.
(see tag for placement)
Element 23 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom right corner of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 75 - C/P and re-size 15%.  Move to bottom right corner of tag in front of element 23.
(see tag for placement)
Element 15 - C/P and re-size 10%.  Move to bottom right corner of tag in front of element 75.
(see tag for placement)
Element 13 - C/P and re-size 10%.  Move to bottom right corner of tag in front of element 15.
(see tag for placement)
Element 11 - C/P and re-size 10%.  Move to bottom right corner of tag in front of element 13.
(see tag for placement)
Element 7 - C/P and re-size 10%.  Move to bottom right corner of tag in front of element 11.
(see tag for placement)

Now for the tube(s):
If you are using the same tube as me, C/P and move to bottom left corner of tag.

Now for the mask layer:
Open PP15.
Highlight very bottom layer.  SELECTIONS - SELECT ALL
Copy and paste PP15 into Selection. Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE CHECKED – CHOOSE WSL 84 from the drop down menu – OK.  DON'T FORGET TO MERGE GROUP.
Duplicate this paper layer and merge down.  Re-size 110%.

Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.
I used
V & H 2
Opacity 70
Blur 7
Color Black

Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.
I re-size before I save and add name and © info.
