PTU Morning Coffee

This tutorial was written by me on September 1, 2013.

It was made out of my own creation and any similarity is purely coincidental.

I used PSPx2 but any version would work.

Artist: Pinup Toons

You can find his tubes at Creative Design Outlet  HERE

Do not use this tube unless you have a license.

Scrap Kit: Morning Coffee by Amy Marie's Kits

You can find this kit at Amy Marie's Kits  HERE

Mask: WSL 81 (Wee Scott Lass)  HERE

Template:  Template 151 by Horse Plays Pasture  HERE

Font: Invitation Script LIMITED FREE Font  HERE

Here goes:

The Template first:

Open template in PSP.  Hold down SHIFT button and tap your “D” key.  Close the original template.  Delete the “Credits” layer with her CR info.

I don't like a white background unless I really need one, so I clear the white background by highlighting the Raster 1layer and go to
EDIT - CLEAR.

Next I changed the canvas size to 800 X 800.  We are gonna do basically the same thing for the following layers, so in an effort to stop repeating myself, here is what you will do for each layer that we change out:

Highlight layer.  SELECTIONS - SELECT ALL - FLOAT - DE FLOAT

Open Paper - C/P - SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - SELECT NONE

Delete layer.

So it will go something like this:

You will be changing these layers: Raster 2, raster 3, raster 4, raster 5, raster6, raster 7 and raster 8.

Highlight Raster 2.  Follow directions above.  Use PP4 left. Rename it PP 4 Right Grey Circle.

Highlight Raster 3.  Same as above.  Use PP4.  Rename PP4 Left Grey Circle.

Highlight Raster 4.  Same as above.  Use PP20.  Rename PP20 Left Blue Circle.
Highlight Raster 5.  Same as above.  Use PP20.  Rename PP20 Right Blue Circle.
Highlight Raster 6.  Same as above.  Use PP15.  Rename PP15 Right Lines.
Highlight Raster 7.  Same as above.  Use PP7.  Rename PP7 Middle Square.
Highlight Raster 8.  Same as above. Use PP15.  Rename PP15 Left Lines.
Move all these layers to the upper right corner.
(see tag for placement)

Now for some elements:

Element 76 – C/P and move to right side of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.

(see tag for placement)

Element 32 – C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to bottom right corner of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 39 – C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to right side of element 32.

(see tag for placement)
Element 75 - C/P and re-size 15%.  Move to left side of element 39 over element 32.
(see tag for placement)
Element 35 - C/P and re-size 10%.  Move to left side of element 75 over element 32.
(see tag for placement)
Element 90 - C/P and move to top left corner of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.  Make both look like one piece and merge down.
(see tag for placement)
Element 28 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to top left corner of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 57 - C/P and re-size 70%.  Move to bottom left side of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 11 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to right side of element 57.
(see tag for placement)
Element 10 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to left side of element 57.
(see tag for placement)
Element 30 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to upper right corner of PP7 Middle Square layer.
(see tag for placement)
Element 86 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to right side of element 57 in front of element 11.
(see tag for placement)

Now for the tube(s):
If you are using the same one(s) as me, grab the first one.  C/P and move her down and a bit left. Grab the second one and re-size 50%.  Move her over element 57 (couch) layer.

Now for the mask layer:

Open PP13.

Highlight very bottom layer.  SELECTIONS - SELECT ALL

Copy and paste PP4 into Selection.

Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE CHECKED – CHOOSE WSL 81 from the drop down menu – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 120%.

Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.

I used

V & H 2

Opacity 70

Blur 7

Color Black

Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.

I re-size before I save and add name and © info.
