PTU Traditional Christmas

This tutorial was written by me on December 5, 2014.
It was made out of my own creation and any similarity is purely coincidental.
I used PSP X6 but any version would work.

I got this tube as a gift from Pics For Design  HERE
But any tube will do.  They have lots to choose from.
Do not use this tube unless you have a license.
Scrap Kit: Traditional Christmas by Rieneke Designs
You can find this kit at Twilight Scraps  HERE
Mask: WSL 84  HERE

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 15.  Open mask (WSL 84) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 15 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 84 – OK.  
Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 115%.

This will be the frame layer:   
Element 132C/P and move it up just a little.  Make sure element 132 layer is still highlightedGrab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 10 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 18.  Keep selected.
Now grab the tube you are using.  If you are using the same one as me, grab it now.  C/P and re-size 45%, then move her into position.
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.
Duplicate the tube layer.
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and leave the original tube layer on LUMINANCE (L) and reduce opacity to 50%.

Now onto some elements: 
Element 142 - C/P and move upper left corner of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and move copy to bottom right corner of tag.

Element 135 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to bottom middle of frame.  Make sure this layer, and all other layer(s), are OVER the frame layer(s).

Element 131 - C/P and re-size 65%.  Move to bottom right corner of frame.  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 24 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to top left corner of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 5 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to top left corner of frame over element 24.
(see tag for placement)   
Element 102 - C/P and re-size 65%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag.
(see tag for placement)
 Element 67- C/P and re-size 25%.  Move to bottom left side of tag in front of element 102.
(see tag for placement)
Element 43 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag in front of element 102 and 67.
(see tag for placement)
Element 47 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom left corner in front of element 102 and 67 but to the right side of element 43.

Element 55 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag in front of element 102 and 67 and to the right of element 47.

Element 44 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag in front of element 43.

Element 46 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag in front of element 55 and to the right of element 44.

Element 28 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag in front of element 47.

Element 77 -  C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to bottom right corner of tag.
(see tag for placement) 
Element 78 - C/P and re-size 25%.  Move to bottom right side of tag over element 77.
(see tag for placement) 
Element 11 - C/P and re-size 35%.  Move to top right corner of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 19 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom middle but a bit left on tag.
(see tag for placement)

I placed the tube layer(s) here: 
If you are using the same one as me, grab your chosen version now.  C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to bottom and a bit to the right side of tag.

Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.
I've used
V & H 2
Opacity 70
Blur 7
Color Black

 Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.
I re-size before I add name and © info and then save.

PTU Fantasy Winter

This tutorial was written by me on November 13, 2014.

Scrap Kit: Fantasy Winter 2 by Daniela E

Mask: WSL 59  HERE

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 2.  Open mask (WSL 59) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 2 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 59 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 110%.

This will be the frame layer:   
Frame 2C/P and move it just a little to the left.  Make sure Frame 2 layer is still highlightedGrab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 8 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 3.  Keep selected.
Now grab the tube you are using.  If you are using the same one as me, grab the Close Up now.  C/P and re-size 50%.  Move her into position.
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.
Duplicate the tube layer.
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and leave the original tube layer on SCREEN.

Now onto some elements: 
Element 34  - C/P and move to the bottom middle of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).

Element 41- C/P and move to lower right side of tag.  Make sure this layer is also UNDER the frame layer(s).  Grab eraser tool and erase parts of the snow on the right side of image.

Element 129- C/P and move to upper left side of tag.  Make sure this layer is also UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 126 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to middle left side of tag over corner of element 34.  Make sure this layer, and all other layer(s), are OVER the frame layer(s).

 Element 21- C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to top middle of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 113 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to bottom left side of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 100 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to bottom left side of element 113.
(see tag for placement)
Element 28 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 19 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to bottom left corner of tag in front of element 28 and 100.

Element 3 - C/P and leave in the middle but move up just a bit.
(see tag for placement)
Element 81 - C/P and move to top right corner of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.

If you are using the same one as me, grab your chosen version now.  C/P and re-size 30%.  Mirror and move to bottom right corner of frame.

Mask: WSL 221 HERE

Here goes:

Let’s start with the mask layer:
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 1.  Open mask (WSL 221) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 1 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 221 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 110%.


 Lets do some elements now:
Element 7 - C/P and move down and to the left on tag.  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 23 - C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to middle right side of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 11 - C/P and re-size 60%.  Make sure it is in the upper middle of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 43 - C/P and move to bottom middle of tag.  Duplicate, mirror the flip and move back down over original element.
(see tag for placement)
Element 18 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to bottom left side of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 36 - C/P and move to very bottom middle of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Element 49 - C/P and move up a little and move a bit to the right.
(see tag for placement)
Element 3 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to upper left side of tag over element 11.
(see tag for placement)
Element 2 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom right side of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.

Now for the tube(s):
If you are using the same tags as I, grab it now.  C/P and re-size 50%. Move down to bottom of tag.

I used: 
V & H 2
Opacity 70
Blur 7
Color Black

 Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.

Save and add name and © info.

Scrap Kit: Leaping Leprechauns by Creative Crazy Scraps

Mask: TBT St. Patty's Mask 1  HERE 

Here goes:

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Pap 8.  Open mask (TBT St. Patty's Mask 1) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste P10 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find TBT St. Patty's Mask 1 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 105%.

This will be the frame layer:  
Element 38C/P and re-size 80%.  Move it up and a bit to the right.  Make sure your frame layer is still highlightedGrab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 8 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Pap 12.  Keep selected.  
Now grab the tube you are using.  If you are using the same one as me, mirror her and then C/P and move her into position. 
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.  
Duplicate the tube layer.  
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and change the original tube layer to MULTIPLY.

Some elements now:
Element 28 - C/P and move to top left corner of tag.  Duplicate and mirror then flip.  Make sure this layer is UNDER all frame layers.

Element 37 - C/P and move to left side of tag. Duplicate and mirror then flip.  Make sure this layer is UNDER all frame layers.
(see tag for placement)
Element 17 - C/P and move to bottom middle of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER all frame layers.

Element 14 - C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to bottom right corner of tag.  Make sure this layer if OVER all frame layers.  All other layers will be over this one also.

 Element 8 - C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to bottom right side of tag beside element 14.
(see tag for placement)
Element 1 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to bottom right corner of tag if front of element 14..
(see tag for placement)
Element 35 - C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to bottom right side of tag in front of elements 14 & 8.
(see tag for placement)
Element 18 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to middle right side on frame.  Duplicate and move copy up and over to top left on frame.

I place the tube layer here: 
If you are using the same tube as me, grab it now.  C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to far left corner of tag of tag.

Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.
