PTU Sapphire Dreams

This tutorial was written by me on May 21, 2015.
It was made out of my own creation and any similarity is purely coincidental.
I used PSP X6 but any version would work.

Mask: WSL 3  HERE

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 1.  Open mask (WSL 3) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 1 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 3 – OK.  
Duplicate and merge down.

This will be the frame layer:   
Frame 3C/P and re-size 65%.  Move up on tag.  Make sure Frame 3 layer is still highlightedGrab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.    SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 10 pixels. 
NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 6.
Keep selected.  Now grab the tube you are using.  If you are going to use the same tube as me, grab her now.  Go to LAYERS - NEW RASTER LAYER - then C/Paste the tube into selection.  
SELECTIONS - SELECT NONE.

Now onto some elements: 
Element 27 - C/P and move to bottom left corner of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror, then move to upper right corner of tag.

Element 35 - C/P and move to upper middle of tag.  Make sure this layer is also UNDER the frame layer(s).  Now, grab your selection tool.  Create a rectangle around the middle of the frame of the window.  Go to LAYERS - NEW RASTER LAYER and move that layer under element 35.  Then open paper 5.  C/Paste paper 5 into selection.  Keep selected.

Element 19 - Go to LAYERS - NEW RASTER LAYER.  Move new raster layer under element 35 but over paper 5. C/Paste into selection, element 19 over paper 5.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).

Element 30 - C/P and move to bottom right side of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror, then move up a bit on tag.

Element 13 - C/P and re-size 65%.  Move to upper left corner of frame.  Make sure this layer, and all other layer(s), are OVER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror, then flip and move it so that it looks like one of twinkles in on the lips of the tube.

Element 11 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to upper right side of right screen.  Free rotate 30º right.

  Element 10 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to upper left side of left screen.  Free rotate 30º left.

Word Art 2 - C/P and leave in the middle of tag over frame and other layers.  I used a drop shadow on word art to help it stand out.  I used the following settings.
*NOTE* the color I used for this drop shadow is white.  All other drop shadows use black for the color.

Element 26 - C/P and move to bottom left corner of tag.

Element 2 - C/P and re-size 20%.  Move to bottom left side of tag over element 26, like it is sitting on the bench.

Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.
I've used
V & H 2
Opacity 70
Blur 7
Color Black

 Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.
I re-size before I add name and © info and then save.

PTU Betrayal

This tutorial was written by me on February 10, 2015.

Mask: WSL 84  HERE

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 5.  Open mask (WSL 84) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 5 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 84 – OK.  
Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 115%.

This will be the frame layer:   
Frame 2C/P and re-size 75%.  Leave it where it lands.  
Frame 1 - C/P over frame 2 and re-size 75%.  Make sure frame 1 layer is still highlightedGrab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 10 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - Make sure this layer is under the frame 1 layer.  C/Paste into selection Paper 4.
Word Art 1 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to upper area of the paper layer.  Duplicate 3 times and move them where you like them.
If you are using the same tube as me, grab it now.  C/P over frame 1 and then move her into position.  Duplicate and move the copy under frame but over paper and word art layers.  SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT - SELECTIONS - SELECT NONE.
Grab your magic wand tool and click in the middle of frame.   
SELECTIONS - INVERT, grab the eraser tool now.  Erase the parts of the original tube you don't want.  SELECTIONS - SELECT NONE.

Now onto some elements: 
Element 9 - C/P and move to middle right side of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 19 - C/P and move to upper left corner of tag.  Make sure this layer is also UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 4 - C/P and move to upper middle of tag.  Make sure this layer is also UNDER the frame layer(s).

Element 1 - C/P and move to upper right corner of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).

Element 5 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to lower middle of frame.  Make sure this layer, and all other layer(s), are OVER the frame layer(s).

PTU The Forgotten

This tutorial was written by me on July 3, 2014.

Mask: WSL 84  HERE

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 2.  Open mask (WSL 84) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 2 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 84 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.
Re-size 115%.
 
This will be the frame layer:   
Frame 2 – C/P and re-size 75%.  Leave it where it lands.  Make sure your frame layer is still highlighted.  Grab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.
SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 8 pixels. NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 1.  Keep selected. Now grab the tube you are using.  If you are using the same one(s) as me, grab it now.  I used the CU here.  Move her into position.  C/P after you mirror it and move her into position on other side of paper layer.  Merge down so it's one layer.   
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.   Duplicate the tube layer.   ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and leave the original tube layer on BURN.

Now onto some elements:   
Element 13  - C/P and move to left side of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 4 - C/P and move to top left corner of tag.  Make sure this layer is also UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror then flip.
(see tag for placement) 
Element 20 - C/P and move to bottom middle of frame.  Make sure this and all the rest of the layers are OVER the frame layer(s).

 Element 12 - C/P and re-size 90%.  Move to top middle of frame.
(see tag for placement)
 Element 18 - C/P and re-size 85%.  Move to bottom right side of frame.  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 1 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Move to bottom middle of frame in between copy of and element 18.

Element 15 - C/P and re-size 85%.  Move to top middle of frame over element 12.

Element 6 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to lower right side of tag over element 18.  Duplicate and mirror.

Word Art - C/P and re-size 90%.  Move to upper part of tag over element 15.  Slide it just a little to the left.  Do a drop shadow as below, but use white for the color and then again with your V & H @ -2.

Mask: MPM 7  HERE 

Here goes:

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 2.  Open mask (MPM 7) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 2 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find MPM 7 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 105%.

This will be the frame layer:  
Frame 2C/P and re-size 70%.  Move it down and a bit right on tag.  Make sure your frame layer is still highlightedGrab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 8 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 4.  Keep selected.
Now grab the tube you are using.  If you are using the same one(s) as me, grab it now.  I used the CU here.  Move her into position. 
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.  
Duplicate the tube layer.  
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and leave the original tube layer on SCREEN.

Some elements now: 
Element 8  - C/P and move to top left corner of tag.  Make sure this layer is UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 1 - C/P and to the lower right side of tag.  Make sure this layer is also UNDER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 20 - C/P and re-size 70%.  Move to bottom middle of frame.  Make sure this and all the rest of the layers are OVER the frame layer(s).

Element 4 - C/P and re-size 70%.  Move to bottom left side of frame.  Duplicate and mirror.

 Word Art 1 - C/P and re-size 70%.  Move to top middle of tag.  Duplicate and on the original element layer, do a drop shadow as described below except for color, use white and do a second drop shadow but for V & H, use -2.

If you are using the same tube as me.  C/P and move her to the far left side of frame.  Duplicate and mirror.

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open P10.  Open mask (WSL 84) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste P10 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 84 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 115%.

This will be the frame layer:  
Frame 1C/P and move it up and a bit to the right.  Make sure your frame layer is still highlightedGrab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 8 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 4.  Keep selected.  
Now grab the tube you are using.  If you are using the same one as me, grab the CU now.  C/P and move her into position. 
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.  
Duplicate the tube layer.  
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and change the original tube layer to DODGE.

Some elements now:
Element 10 - C/P and move to top left corner of tag.  Duplicate and mirror then flip.  Make sure this layer is UNDER all frame layers.

Element 11 - C/P and move to top left corner of tag. Duplicate and mirror then flip.  Make sure this layer is UNDER all frame layers.

Element 6 - C/P and move to top right corner of tag.  Duplicate and mirror then flip.  Move the copy up and a bit right.  Make sure this layer is UNDER all frame layers.

Element 8 - C/P and re-size 70%.  Move to bottom right corner of tag.  Make sure this layer if OVER all frame layers.  All other layers will be over this one also.

 Element 18 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to bottom right side of tag over element 8.

Element 5 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to top middle over frame.

Element 1 - C/P and move to top left side of tag.

Wordart - C/P and re-size 35%.  Move to bottom part of element 8.

If you are using the same tube as me, grab it now.  C/P and mirror her.  Move to far left corner of tag of tag.  Now grab the lady bug from the tube.  C/P and move to middle and a bit right on tag.

Color Black

 Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.
