PTU Snow Girl

This tutorial was written by me on November 27, 2013.
It was made out of my own creation and any similarity is purely coincidental.
I used PSPx2 but any version will do.

Here goes:

Let’s start with the mask layer:
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 15.  Open mask (WSL 116) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 15 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 116 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 105%.

Now for some elements:

Snow Drift 2 – C/P and move to middle left side of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.

Tree – C/P and move this layer in between the two snow drift layers.  Then move tree over to the left side of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Snowy Tree – C/P and re-size 50%.  Also move this layer between the two snow drift layers.  Move it to the left side of other tree.

Bunny C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to upper left side of tag over snow drifts.
(see tag for placement) 
Snowy Cluster -  C/P and move to upper right side of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Snowy Wheel – C/P and re-size 75%.  Move a little down but still in middle of tag.
(see tag for placement)
BenchC/P and move a little down and to the right side of tag.
(see tag for placement)
Log – C/P and move down and a bit left on tag.
(see tag for placement)
Snow Balls - C/P and move to bottom left side of tag
(see tag for placement)
Snow Man - C/P and re-size 50%. Mirror and move to lower left side of tag.
(see tag for placement) 
 Bucket Of Snowballs - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to bottom and a bit right on the tag.
(see tag for placement)
 
I'll place the tube layer now: 
If you are using the same tube as me, grab your favorite version of it nowC/P and re-size 70%.  Move this to the right side of tag seating her on the bench.

Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.
I used
V & H 2
Opacity 70
Blur 7
Color Black

 Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.

I re-size before I save and add name and © info.

 PTU Northern Exposure
 
This tutorial was written by me on November 26, 2013.

Here goes:

Let’s start with the mask layer: 
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open P5.  Open mask and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste P5 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 116 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.

Gonna do a few elements right now:
Element 9 - C/P and move to bottom left corner of tag under frame layer.  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 8 - C/P and move to bottom right corner of tag under frame layer.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)

Let’s do the frame layer now:  
Element 11 – C/P leave in the middle of tag.
Grab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of element. 
SELECTIONS – MODIFY – EXPAND 8 PIXELS. 
New Raster Layer.  Move under frame layer.  Open P9. Copy and paste into selection.  Keep selected.
If you are using the same tube as me, grab the version you want. 
C/P and move it into position.
Go to SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.  Duplicate the tube layer.  ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and go to original tube layer and change BLEND MODE to MULTIPLY.

Now for some more elements after frame layers: 
Element 43 – C/P and move to the right side of frame.  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 4 – C/P and move to bottom part of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 77 – C/P and re-size 60%.  Move to top right corner of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 51 - C/P and move to bottom left corner of frame.
(see tag for placement)
 Element 35 - C/P and move to bottom right corner of tag.
Use the following drop shadow:
V & H 1
Opacity 100
Blur 1
Color Black
(see tag for placement)
 
Add drop shadow to all other layers of your choosing.
I used
V & H 2
Opacity 70
Blur 7
Color Black

 Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.
I re-size before I save and add name and © info.

Here goes:

Now for the mask layer:
Open P2 and WSL 116, then minimize. 
Highlight very bottom layer.  SELECTIONS - SELECT ALL
Copy and paste P2 into Selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE CHECKED – CHOOSE WSL 116 from the drop down menu – OK.  Re-size 105%.

Now for the frame:
Element 4 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Free Rotate 90º right.  Grab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of the frame layer.   
Go to SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 8 PIXELS - INVERT.   
C/Paste into selection P6.  Keep selected.  
Now grab the tube you are using.  If you are using the same one as me, C/P and re-size 40%.  Move her into position.
 Duplicate the tube layer.  Move the copy layer under frame layer.  Delete extra hanging under frame layer.  Highlight original tube layer.  Grab your eraser tool.  Erase the parts of her legs that is hanging OVER the frame.

Lets do some more elements now:
Element 16 - C/P move under frame layer.  Move to top left corner of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.

Element 24 - C/P move under frame layer.  Move to top of tag.  Duplicate and flip.
(see tag for placement)
Element 21 - C/P and move to and a bit to the left side of tag.  Duplicate and mirror then flip.
(see tag for placement)
Element 11 - C/P and move this layer over the frame layer.  Place it on the left top corner of frame.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 1 - C/P and leave in the middle of tag but move it up just a little in the frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 2 - C/P and re-size 80%.  Move to bottom left side of frame.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 8 - C/P and re-size 80%.  Move to bottom left side of frame.  Duplicate and mirror.
(see tag for placement)
Element 9 - C/P and re-size 80%.  Move to bottom middle of frame over tube.
(see tag for placement)
Element 14 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom middle of tag over element 9 layer.
(see tag for placement)
Element 34 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to bottom right side of element 14.
(see tag for placement)
Element 31 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to bottom right side of tag, but to the left of element 34.
(see tag for placement)
Element 33 - C/P and re-size 35%.  Move to bottom left side of element 14.
(see tag for placement)
Element 32 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to bottom right side of element 31.
(see tag for placement)
Element 12 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to bottom left side of element 14.
(see tag for placement)
Element 13 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to bottom left side of element 12.

Let’s start with the mask layer:
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 11.  Open mask (WSL 84) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 11 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 84 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 115%.

Now for some elements:

Element 13 – C/P and move to bottom right side of tag.

Element 4 – C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to middle of fireplace.
(see tag for placement)
Element 12 – C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to the middle of fireplace under element 4.
(see tag for placement)
Element 17 -  C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to left side of fireplace.
(see tag for placement) 
Element 16 -  C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to right side of fireplace.
(see tag for placement)
Element 7 – C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to top left corner of fireplace.  Duplicate and mirror.  Move to for right corner of fireplace.

Element 31Add new raster layer.  Grab your selection tool.  Make a rectangle at the top of the tag.  C/Paste into selection - the element and re-size 40%.

Element 43 – C/P and move to left side of tag.

Element 38 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move bottom right side of element 43.
(see tag for placement)
Element 37 - C/P and re-size 40%.  Move to bottom left side of element 43.

 Element 33 - C/P and move to left side of tag in front of element 43.

New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 9.  Open mask and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 9 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 84 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 115%.

Let’s do the frame layer now:   
Frame 1 – C/P and re-size 80%.  Move down and to the right.
Grab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of element. SELECTIONS – MODIFY – EXPAND 8 PIXELS. New Raster Layer.  Move under frame layer.  Open Paper 5. Copy and paste into selection.  Keep selected.
If you are using the same tube as me, grab the version you want. 
C/P and mirror and move it into position.
Go to SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.  Duplicate the tube layer.  ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK

Holly - C/P and move this layer under Frame 1 layers and move to top right side of tag.  Duplicate and mirror.

Baubles - C/P and make sure layer is over Frame 1 layer.  Move to right side of frame.  Duplicate and mirror.

Kitty - C/P and re-size 80%.  Mirror and move to bottom right side of tag.
(see tag for placement) 
Candles - C/P and re-size 70%.  Move to bottom middle of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Tree - C/P and move to bottom left side of frame.
(see tag for placement) 
Snow - C/P and leave where it lands.
(see tag for placement)
 
Now for the tube(s):
If you are using the same tube as me, C/P the full size of tube and re-size 53%.  Move to the bottom left side of tag.

Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.
